We offer a 20 meter custom indoor pool, and a 3 meter deep, beach front, infinity pool for our PADI IDC Gili Trawangan training. There is also an air conditioned classroom and multiple training areas in our gardens or on the beach. We like to think we offer one of the most unique and personalized locations for your IDC Gili Trawangan.
Diving Gili Trawangan
The diving surrounding Gili Trawangan and the other two northern Gili’s is a perfect blend of amazing sea life and great visibility. We tend to have mild currents year round with warm waters so it makes for a terrific place for professional dive training , especially your PADI IDC Gili Trarawangan training. We are also located in very close proximity to what is called the “Wallace Line”. This is an invisible demarcation separating the Indian and the Pacific oceans. What this means is that we have many fish species from both Australia and Indo-Pacific locations. The Gili’s and neighboring Lombok are also home to more Bio-Rocks than any where else in the world. These are a special type of artificial reef built of metal with a very low voltage current running through it. This stimulate coral growth and helps make it more resistant to bleaching. Our house reef located directly in front of Lutwala is called Halik and reefs and is arguably one of the most spectacular reefs on the Gilis. It boast both deep and shallow reefs with healthy corals and a sandy “training area” with easy access from our beach.
Gili Trawangan is one of 3 idyllic islands located just off the coast of Lombok and 1 1/2 hour boat ride from Bali. These islands consist of Gili Trawangan (the largest and most developed), Gili Meno, and Gili Air (the only one with fresh water and actually the first settled). There are no motorized vehicles on any of the Gili’s which is a great way to disconnect from a busy and hectic lifestyle and connect with nature. Gili Trawangan is traditionally known as the party island, but the often unmentioned and less visited northern shore is the perfect getaway from party central. With beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, innumerable sea turtles, and less boat traffic we think the north is a hidden jewel on Trawangan. Yet it is a 10 minute bicycle ride from central with myriad of places to eat or party the night away should that be your thing. Trawangan is about 7 km in circumference and offers a variety of bars, restaurants, clothing shops, and many small stalls selling locally made souvenirs. Interesting fact is that it was initially used a a coconut plantation and penal colony!
