He is genuine, approachable and strives to enable you fulfil your potential as a scuba diving instructor. He helps to fully understand the role and find your own instructor style rather than becoming a robot.
Pierre’s Diving Story
Following hip replacement surgery in 2010, Pierre was forced to rest and began to seriously contemplate his life and his future - ‘What was I doing? What was I not doing? And more importantly, what do I do now?’. He concluded that he wanted to work more with people and with nature. With his passion for extreme sports and the ocean, professional scuba diving was the obvious way forward. As a dive instructo you get to meet and help new people every day whilst fully immersing yourself in the natural world. It was a perfect match.
Since qualifying as an Instructor, Pierre has gained extensive experience in The Netherlands, Egypt, Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. He continues to enjoy teaching divers of all levels, as well as exploring freediving and tec diving during his down time. Wrecks, deep dives and the ‘big stuff’ are what gets Pierre excited. During his PADI IDC, Pierre already knew that he wanted to become a PADI Course Director. He loves to teach diving, to mentor divers and to help others become better divers and professionals, like divemasters and dive instructors.
