Easy mask caring tips.
Welcome back everyone! We hope you have been making some bubbles recently and that by now you
managed to find a mask that accommodates you, that has the right fit, and that you’re acing clearing it .
Now that you finally found THE one for you, here are some of our tips to keep enjoying your precious.
When you’re done with your dives, rinse it as soon as possible with clear clean fresh water. As you are
also enjoying a warm bath once in a while, your mask will too. It will help break down the salt and other
It is always recommended to keep your mask nice and tidy by cleaning it periodically with a liquid
detergent. Most of the time, a mild dish washing soap will perfectly do the job. Don’t forget to clean the
inside and the outside as well as the seals in the mask skirt. A soft tooth brush might be helpful here.
Include the strap as well, especially if it is a neoprene one.
Whenever you are taking care of your mask, take time to closely inspect everything. Look for tears.
Check the frame, the strap (and the attachments). Everything needs to be fine.
Try to let you mask dry out of the sun, in a well ventilated area, with the nose pocket pointing upwards.
This will allow the water to drain off.
Most of the masks are bought with a protective box. Don’t throw it away, it’s gonna be very useful. Try
to keep your mask as much as possible in its protective case when you’re not using it. That’s probably
the best way to look after it. Do not leave it inside for an extended period of time if it is still wet.
